Midnight – Poem

If I had the chance to disappear

To not be seen

And be a color scheme

That would be me

On a Saturday

Where it’s the time to binge watch

And remain in bed, sleeping in

Not when the sun’s up

And they’re invisible

As time goes on

It’s the sun’s turn to sleep

There’s a change in the sky’s colors

Soon I arrive, the light is gone

My friends come, shining bright

But it won’t be long

Here I am

Bringing darkness to all

Lights from the buildings flash

Some party away when I come

While others lay in their beds to dream

Opposite to bright as day

I would be that color

That’s dark as night

If I had the chance to disappear
